CHERI PATRICK

Cheri is a 1999 graduate of Duke University School of Law, and she obtained her undergraduate degree from Drury College (now University) in Springfield, MO. She founded this law practice in 2001. She is a member of the Family Law section of the NC Bar Association and former chairperson of the Durham County Family Law Bar and member of NCGALA.

Cheri prides herself on taking the worry out of domestic issues, giving her clients peace of mind and encouraging trust through empathy and experience. While many often claim that lawyers make simple problems complex, Cheri believes a good attorney makes complex issues simple and applies this philosophy to her work both in and out of the courtroom.

Family law often deals with life-changing issues that may seem impossible to face. Cheri is proud to inspire the trust that her clients are in experienced, persistent, and fair hands.

KIRSTEN GRIESER

Kirsten joined Patrick Law in May of 2021, establishing the Appellate and Real Estate Litigation section of this practice, in addition to her work in Family Law.

Kirsten decided to become a family law attorney when she was fifteen years old, after her own family was helped by the work of a family lawyer. She realized that dream in 2019, when she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. In addition to her studies, Kirsten completed over 120 pro bono hours during her time in law school, with a particular focus on domestic violence and family law issues. She has interned with both the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Legal Aid of North Carolina. Kirsten is a dual American-German citizen who has spent several years abroad and speaks fluent German.

Kirsten is detail oriented and an empathetic listener. She understands the value that a competent and passionate attorney can bring to her clients, who are often going through the worst moments of their lives. She believes that every client who walks out of her office should feel comfortable and taken care of, just as she was when she needed it.
